A Message from the President

Dear Colleagues,

This past year has turned from busy, to exciting and then suddenly to very challenging for all of us pediatric dentists.   With the COVID pandemic still raging on as I write this, The College has accelerated our efforts to give timely and best-in-class online education to our membership.  As information about this virus was trickling out in April, the webinar committee contacted Pediatric Dentist and Oral Pathologist Dr. Juan Yepes to provide two exceptional webinars on evidence-based infection control practices surrounding SARS-COV2.  Since our founding in 1968, the offerings the College provides change in step with members needs.  Just as we have been asked to quickly change our respective practices, The College is here to do our part with another just-in-time evidence-based presentation to help us make sense of it all.  If you have not yet had a chance to view Dr. Yepes infection control webinars, they are free to all COD members.

While we are still committed to the popular small format live study clubs that have been a hallmark of The College for the last 11 years, we are also focusing on improving and streamlining webinars that continue to break live-attendance records.  Your membership means you will have exclusive access to cutting edge educators and presentations that are otherwise unavailable in other resources.  When live events return in the spring and fall, we are super excited to host amazing destinations such as Banff, Canada (Oct 2020), New York City, NY (April 2021) and Jackson Hole, WY (Oct 2021).   I am excited to be a part of this College and its all-volunteer board that serves you and all board-certified pediatric dentists during this unique and challenging time.  If you have any questions or comments for The College or the Board of Directors, please do not hesitate to contact me.
