Dr. Ronald A. Bell Mentor of the Year Award 

Purpose: This award was created to honor and remember Dr. Ronald A. Bell.

Award: This annual award will be presented at the COD annual meeting. A $2,500 donation will be made by the FCOD to the pediatric dentistry program of their choice or choice of FCOD/nominator in the case of memorial awards.

N. Sue Seale Pediatric Dentistry Research Award

This $10,000 research award is in honor of Dr. N. Sue Seale whose own research advanced the discipline of pediatric dentistry through the pursuit of evidence-based knowledge.  This award is available to those pediatric dentists who are full time faculty in the first 10 years of their career.  The FCOD is proud to support this activity as Dr. Seale herself supported her colleagues in their academic endeavors.

Paul Walker Leadership Award

Purpose: The Foundation of the COD of the ABPD announces the Paul Walker Leadership Award. This research award is in honor of Dr. Paul Walker whose involvement and dedication to the activities of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry was legendary. The FCOD is proud to support this activity as Dr. Walker would have been so pleased to see the participation of our future leaders in the American Board.

Award Description: The FCOD will give a $1,500 donation to a board-certified pediatric dentist who has shown leadership potential. This annual award will be presented during the AAPD annual meeting at the General Membership meeting of the College of Diplomates.
