From the Desk of the Chairman of the Foundation of the College of Diplomates

It is with great enthusiasm that I introduce myself as the new Chair of the Board for the Foundation for the Continuing Education of Dentists (FCOD). I am honored to serve in this capacity and to work alongside such a dedicated group of individuals who share a passion for advancing life-long learning and recognizing excellence in the field.

As you may know, FCOD has been a vital force in supporting dentists through education, professional development, and the recognition of their exceptional contributions to the dental profession. One of the most impactful ways we honor their hard work is through the FCOD Awards, which celebrate the achievements of deserving dentists who have shown outstanding dedication to patient care, research, and innovation.

The Paul Walker Leadership award recognizes those with leadership potential by helping   other prepare for the ABPD’s Qualifying exam and Oral Comprehensive examinations.

The N Sue Seale Pediatric Dentistry Research Award recognizes a full-time faculty in their first 10 years of their career whose research is helping to advance the practice of pediatric dentistry.

The Ronald A Bell Mentor of the Year Award is considered to be a lifetime achievement award that recognizes an individual who has made a fundamental impact on pediatric dentistry, much like Dr. Bell did.

I am therefore seeking out the generosity of supporters like you. Donations to FCOD are crucial in ensuring that we can continue funding these prestigious awards and offer deserving dentists the recognition they truly deserve.
